Scholarships – supporting rural learners

Youthrive Victoria provides a range of scholarships to support the education of young people from rural Victoria. It also assists donors and other organisations to establish and administer high-impact rural scholarship programs. Since 2011, over $2.75 million in scholarships has been awarded to rural school leavers.

Youthrive Victoria’s scholarship programs are designed to:

  • Improve equity of access to post-school education for rural young people, and
  • Ensure the availability of qualified young people to deliver services, drive economic growth and lead their rural communities.

Youthrive Victoria provides University Scholarships, Rural Chances Vocational Scholarships and Community Leader Scholarships.

It  provides wrap-around support to scholarship recipients, including transition and career mentoring, leadership development programs and access to an alumni network, that are all designed to meet the specific needs of rural young people.

University Scholarships

Each year Youthrive Victoria provides a number of scholarships to Year 12 students who plan to attend university the following year. The number and value of scholarships is dependent on funding and donations that we receive.

Rural Chances Vocational Scholarships

Youthrive Victoria’s Rural Chances Scholarships support the many young people looking to work or to train and build their skills.
